Drum Wood Chipper Structure
1.Drum chipper is made up of body, knife roller, feed roller, conveyor belts, hydraulic system and other parts. Its frame is made of welding high strength steel plate, which is the support basis of the whole machine.
2.The feeding roller can float up in a certain range with the help of hydraulic system according to the different chips thickness.
3.The hydraulic system: supply oil to cylinder by hand oil pump, you can start the cover shell for replacing the blades conveniently.
4.The top feeding roller can be uplifted when you maintain and repair this machine, which is convenient for adjusting the gap between fly blades and bottom blades, and dismantling the comb plate.
How to Make Wood Chips?
When transmitted to the chipping chamber by the transmission device through the feeding inlet, the material will be cut and sliced into wood chips by the blades, high speed flow and collision. In the process of blade cutting and grinding, the rotor produces high speed airflow and shocks repeatedly to accelerate material crushing rate. The qualified chips will drop out though screen mesh and discharge from holes on the screen, the larger material will be cut inside again.

Drum wood chipper is named after the large, motor-powered drum located at the center of the machine. When the machine works, the process is very fast and loud, and carries significant safety risks. Any drum jam will affect the engine subsequently because the drum and engine are connected directly, meanwhile cause the engine to stall and pieces of wood to become lodged in the drum. So, the machine must be operated with care so as not to get clothing or appendages caught in drum, which can cause extreme injury or death.
