In July, German ENplus A1 quality wood pellets have become cheaper by 1.8% over June and approximately 6% cheaper than in July 2014. According to the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association (DEPV), pellets currently cost on average 233.66 EUR/t. The price advantage over heating oil 21%.
In July 2015, wood pellets in Germany recorded the following regional differences: in southern Germany, pellets cost 232.53 EUR/t for 6t purchases. In central Germany for the same amount of pellets the price is 232.71 EUR/t, while in north/east 241.16 EUR/t.
Larger quantities (26 t) were traded in July 2015 at the following prices: 218.14 EUR/t in central Germany, 220.11 EUR/t in south and 224.96 EUR/t in north/east (all including VAT).
